Gartziategi cider house

Open during the txotx season (January to April). This cider house has its own apple orchard, complementing its harvest with apples from Vizcaya, Galicia, Asturias or France.

Description

This could possibly be the oldest cider house. There are documents dating from the 16th Century that refer to it. Even today, its cellar contains barrels that are more than 100 years old. The building is highly characteristic and its cider has wide renown.

Meals and dinners

In season (January – April): Meals and dinners, sitting/standing in large tables (traditional way to eat in the cider house) and tasting cider in txotx style. Traditional cider house menu. Schedule: Dinners from Monday to Saturday. Meals from Monday to Sunday and on holidays. Closed on Sunday night.

Out of season (May – December): Closed
